Volunteer Schedule for the 2008 Season
Schedule of volunteer slots available for distribution days. All dates below are Tuesdays unless otherwise noted!
To schedule your volunteer hours send an email to volunteer@hellgatecsa.com with:
- Your name:
- Date and shift requested (first choice)
- Date and shift requested (second choice)
- Primary email address (we will send you a reminder)
Volunteers from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm will assist in site setup which includes meeting the farmer (sometimes!) and farm trucks, helping to unload, setting up tables, making weekly share signs. Lifting is involved so wear clothes that can get dirty.
Volunteers from 5:00 - 8:00pm will run the distribution which includes restocking veggies/fruit on the table, helping people sign in, assisting in weighing, packaging leftovers, putting tables & supplies away, sweeping the sidewalk, throwing away trash, and general end-of-distribution duties. Again, some lifting is involved but most importantly, wear clothes that are weather appropriate.
